Dodging the Column

1.
Actually I don't want to be the one but you do so you can take it all. Here's your mission. You can paint it. I stacked the pallets so you don't have to do that. Actually I just want to watch you fall. So I will. So I don't have to.
2.
Gate to Maze 01:23
Falling forwards day after day. Scissors and landmines. You, a link in a longer line. The park felt crowded so I didn't see you. Every day we wake we drag our bones .We strike a match up to hail the day. Livewire wrapped in plastic and bugs.
3.
A new horizon across the field. A holding pattern. A shoddy deal. We'll count backwards. We'll start from ten. I'll take you there and back again. Get what I want. I said it was for you but it was what you got. I'm not angry I'm just sorry for a past persuasion I might have missed. Back again to get what I want.
4.
Do you remember how I held you then, held the beat for you? Drinking coffee and we can ride the dark wave out. I've been pining away OK because I wanted to.
5.
Should I call the patient for a ride? It doesn't take a drink to save my life. It hits you so low when the motor's running. I don't want to ask you for a change. Reverse rotation and try a new way. You hear it so loud. Try to pick you up but you're falling down. The wheels don't roll they're fused into the road. But you don't want to listen to what I know.
6.
Space Peace 00:57
Seventeen days went by just like that. And I don't bother to signal an engineer in the field. Why bother again. Because if it's raining in your bedroom I know how that feels. You can take me down to the basement. It's just like a dream.
7.
Stop blocking my way out. What's upstream? Stop breathing the lung. You chose to saturate through from station to station. Stop hogging the body and the uplink. Quit being the one. The one who's wrong. You chose to saturate all over the place from station to station.
8.
Double arrows are flying this way, checking you off the board. Direct hit from focused cobra. Sixteen and eighteen ways to lose. Double arrows will never let you choose. I tried to let you into the hallway but the monitors abuse. The way I looked at you with my mind set on owning you. I cut that lathe in the morning and spun it into nothing. Never to hear you again.
9.
Slimed 02:01
I ended up in the bathroom drain slimed, alright. It's easy to remember the crumbs I ate from your pocket. Eventhough the worst was yet to come don't regret it. You rolled yourself down the narrow hall blanked, oh yeah. I used to count the days until I'd come around and unlock it. Garden to the gate was all I had left of you. The clock's not going to tick in the end. "Patience is a virtue" that's what you said to me. I'm sick of hearing you in my head.
10.
You should know we're stuck together, stacked to radiate. Climb through the window and estimate the strength of the gates. Hearing sounds. You hear it. Hearing sounds slap back off the shed against the walls. Can the planks take the weight of it? Or should we scrap the plan or climb to the window?

Runs Off 01:30
Hold up my end of the bargain. I don't want to let you down. I wouldn't want to admit what I've forgotten. We think we're movers and shakers now. The only thing I've ever wanted. Add up all I've lost oh wow. We couldn't agree on anything. We know we're better off after it all. And you said a lot of things that I better remember. You told me a bunch of stuff .I thought I'd get it to it later but I already knew.
12.
Stick my head in the microwave,I think it's time. While you finish your drink, don't want to leave the girls wet. My face on the furnace, it sure feels nice. While you tune up your amplifiers all night. It's been a joy watching you work so wipe that smirk off your face. It's time to deploy the boys.
13.
When the satellite came back to me I slapped the hands at the controls. Though I've been waiting for half my life for a sign. I've been waiting on you for most of my. Waiting on a sign of life.
14.
Every time I waste a halo I bait the hook, look, I'm casting it out. Tried hard enough to not talk so tough but my words are just an exercise in sound. You're talking personal preference but I'm getting worked up. It's meaningless. It's not enough to try. I've learned that now from you.
15.
The SM57 reeks. The Porta07 doesn't spin, no. The high road's all but gone. I thought you were my friend but now I'm screwing you again. I used to walk around with you. Now I can't even say your name. I used to love you but I guess I fucked it up. A chapter closed in a static age. Piles of pieces of scraps of tape. A memory is all I've got. A memory is all but gone.
16.
Bridge Wish 01:16
Well it's a hundred miles out of zone but it's an easy place to go if you want to. But it's a bridge we can't afford now. It's a bridge wish baby. We couldn't make it happen. Connect it back to you, low. What if I pack the Rat and go. I'll go.
17.
Mini Gold 02:16
Dodge the column. I'm not waiting around for it to hit. Stop kicking around. Hard places soften up if you let it you'll figure me out. Did you save me a place in line or did that break too? Maybe go prospect for clues. Hit me up the way you do. Mini gold is bigger than you. We used to talk but now I'm just digging for you. Squeeze out the clean times from a life all muddied up. I'm draped in Gore-Tex but G-1000 couldn't be any louder. All dressed up with no one to watch me breaking.
